Cummins announces 600 HP ISX; new QuickCheck tool

Cummins Inc. announced the release of its most powerful ISX in years, with 600 horsepower and 2050 lb.-ft. of torque. This new rating is designed for heavy-haul customers, fleets and owner/operators who specialize in expedited freight. It is scheduled to be available this fall.

Bendix testing adaptive cruise control

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC continues research and development on the latest element of its active safety system strategy: adaptive cruise control (ACC). The Bendix approach will enable brake intervention in ACC mode to help rapidly slow the vehicle and maintain following distance in addition to engine dethrottling and engine brake (retarder) applications. The technology builds on its original active safety system, Bendix ESP stability system.
