Michelin kicks off X One photo contest
In the “Riding on Michelin X One Tires? Win X One Stuff!” contest, X One tire users must fill out the online entry form, then upload an image of their mounted X One tires. At the end of the month, a panel of judges will select five grand prize winners; prizes also will be awarded to other submissions.

Michelin unveils truck tire for refuse applications
The new Michelin XZUS2 delivers up to a 20% increase in removal miles over its predecessor, the XZUS tire, according to the tire maker. In addition, the new XZUS 280 retread size completes the XZUS Pre-Mold retread line for the most commonly used sizes in refuse applications.

The SmartWay-verified Michelin XZA3+ Evertread steer tire is designed to deliver fuel savings while also offering more miles. The tire maker claims it lasts at least 30% longer than the competition in long-haul applications. It also features Dual Compound Tread technology, which allows tire designers to utilize multiple rubber compounds at different places in the tread for the greatest benefits.
Michelin creates national fleet service network
The new program will offer truck fleets a comprehensive service package including road service, online operating manuals and online fleet reporting. Network dealers will provide new tires and retreads, 24/7/365 service, and highly trained service technicians. After-hours road service will be coordinated through a centralized dispatch system with no dispatch fee for national account fleets.
iPhone, Android apps connect industry with Michelin Truck Tires
The new mobile truck tire applications in the U.S. and Canada, for Apple iPhone and Android-based smartphones, use GPS location and Google Maps technology to provide the location of the nearest Michelin truck tire or service provider, as well as information about that location. Users have the ability to call the service provider, obtain driving directions or save the provider’s information to their contacts or address book.
