It now features the proprietary wetting agent, Xtreme Cool, to reduce the coolant surface tension as well as improve heat transfer and reduce coolant temperature.

Chevron’s Delo brand of technologically advanced engine oils, lubricants and coolants, has introduced the latest member of its product family, Delo Extended Life Coolant/Antifreeze – Nitrite Free (DELO ELC-NF). Its maker says the new extended life coolant (ELC) is recommended for use in on- and off-road heavy-duty equipment, as well as stationary applications, requiring a nitrite-free OAT formulation, as mandated by engine manufactures like Detroit Diesel, which only allows the use of nitrite-free extended life coolants (OAT) in its engines.
