Penske Truck Leasing adds electric Xos Stepvan

Penske will offer the Xos Stepvan, a battery electric Class 6 vehicle.

Penske Truck Leasing has added multiple Xos Stepvan battery-electric trucks to its fleet, the companies announced.

The Stepvan is a 100% battery-electric Class 6 vehicle. According to Xos, the Stepvan can travel up to 150 miles on a single charge, features a GVWR of up to 23,000 pounds, and comes in available body sizes of 16- or 18-ft.. Depending on charger specifications, the vehicle charge time with DC fast charging ranges from 110 to 120 minutes. Additional specifications include a 178-in. wheelbase, 347 kW maximum horsepower, and max torque of 1,737 ft.-lbs., the company said.

Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) has delivered 20 zero-emission, battery electric Freightliner eCascadia Class 8 tractors to Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling (RCCB), a West Coast and Midwest bottler and distributor of Coca-Cola brands. These electric vehicles will join RCCB's fleet of delivery trucks in Downey, Calif., and represent the first zero-emission heavy-duty tractors added to their California fleet.
