SAF-Holland taps Kamsickas as Powered Vehicle Systems president

SAF-Holland has appointed Mike Kamsickas as president of its Powered Vehicle Systems business unit, replacing Jack Gisinger, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Kamsickas is responsible for the global operations, product engineering, OEM sales and strategic planning of the unit.

With 30 years of experience in the automotive and heavy-duty commercial vehicle industries, Mike comes to SAF-Holland from Dayco Products, a supplier of belts, tensioners and pulleys for the automotive, trucking, construction, agricultural and industrial markets. At Dayco, he held various leadership positions including president of Global Operations Group, president of North American OE, and executive vice president. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions with Faurecia, Valeo and Lear.

Gisinger will maintain his role as president of American subsidiary SAF-Holland Inc. until his retirement at the end of 2015. During his 35-year tenure with SAF-Holland, he played a significant role in the development of the company, including the merger of SAF and the Holland Group in December 2006, the company’s public offering in 2007, the successful navigation through the global economic downturn and establishing the strength the company is experiencing today.
