Hendrickson’s new PARALIFT PST lift axle advances weight savings and flexibility

Hendrickson launches production this month of the refined PARALIFT PST that trims 90 more pounds from its popular PARALIFT lift axle system, the company said.  Fitting PARALIFT with a new axle, Hendrickson said it retained the rugged durability and versatility of the 20,000-lb., steerable lift axle system while improving driveline clearance and wheel cut.

Dana introduces new steer axle designed for extreme driving

The Commercial Vehicle Systems group of Dana Holding Corp. has introduced a new Spicer 5.24-in. (133mm) drop wide-track axle for heavy-use specialty vehicles requiring a high degree of maneuverability. The new axle includes several of Dana’s patented technologies and was specifically developed for applications that require a solid beam forged design for withstanding extreme conditions, the maker said.

Haldex adds ILAS E air suspension valve to trailer roll stability system

Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems announces the addition of the ILAS E Air Suspension Valve, which can control the position of the lift axles through an electrical connection. A 12V power supply is needed to keep the lift axles in the raised position, and when power is removed via an electrical switch, the lift axles will be lowered automatically. When coupled with the Haldex TRS System, the lift axles can be controlled to raise and lower automatically as the air suspension reacts to changing loads in the trailer. The ILAS E / TRS System can be adjusted to react at various pressure conditions making the system versatile for single or multiply lift axle trailers, its maker said.

TruckWeight introduces wireless smart scale for mechanical suspensions

TruckWeight Inc. announced that it has applied its Smart Scale wireless onboard scale technology to trucks, tractors, and trailers with mechanical spring suspensions. The scale is designed for vehicles used in bulk distribution, agriculture, construction, forestry, containerized loads, heavy hauling, and other applications that use equipment with mechanical suspensions, the company said.

New Firestone Ride-Rite kit available for the 2008 Ford F-450

Ride-Rite air helper springs from Firestone Industrial Products Co. LLC are now available in a no-drill kit for the 2008 Ford F-450. The new Ford F-450Ride-Rite kit is specifically designed to maximize the safe load carrying capacity, stability and ride quality of the F-450, its maker said.

Reyco Granning addresses fleet concerns with reduced tire wear and lifetime suspension warranty

Reyco Granning has introduced what it calls the industry’s first limited lifetime warranty on a commercial suspension, the 86AR/RS3035 Air Ride Slider.
