TriboDyn Engine Oil Treatment is engineered to reduce friction and wear, will perform under extreme pressure and heat, help prevent galling and micro welding and is capable of handling temperatures well over 1150C/2100F and can carry loads up to 350,000 psi, according to the company.
Normal lubricants and oils have a maximum pressure they can work at, before they “cold flow” and offer minimal to no protection, the company explained. Generally high-performance additives and/or lubricants such as moly, graphite, PTFE, zinc and others are used. These will protect and offer protection up to a certain point, and some are better than others. TriboDyn engineered its engine oil treatment to exceed the protective levels of these materials, the company reported.
While TriboDyn is compatible and mixes with all synthetic, standard and mineral oils used in gasoline and diesel engines, the company did caution that it is not recommended for automatic transmissions, positraction type differentials or anything with a clutch type engagement unit.
