Trimble has completed its previously announced acquisition of Transporeon. The companies say Transporeon provides modular applications that power a global network for more than 150,000 carriers and 1,400 shippers and retailers with an integrated suite of sourcing, planning, execution, monitoring and settlement tools.
The companies say this acquisition is about developing and offering solutions that address both the physical and digital realities of commercial transportation to increase efficiency, profitability, sustainability and customer satisfaction. The companies say Transporeon’s freight procurement, visibility and market analytics capabilities complement Trimble’s transportation management portfolio.
Together, Trimble and Transporeon bring more than 60 years of transportation industry experience in solution engineering, market intelligence, operational data management, the companies say. Trimble funded the transaction using a combination of financings it has previously announced including senior notes, a term loan, existing credit facilities and cash on hand. Transporeon will be reported as part of Trimble’s Transportation Segment.
