Volvo Trucks and Mack Trucks suspend production due to Coronavirus concerns

Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks have suspended the manufacturing process in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

In a letter to customers posted to the Volvo website, Volvo Trucks North America President Peter Verhooeve wrote that “out of an abundance of caution we have suspended our manufacturing operations to protect plant employees. As you can imagine this situation continues to evolve, so we encourage you to keep in close contact with your local dealer to stay informed about the latest developments.”

Verhooeve added that all service, parts and uptime operations will be unaffected and will continue to run.

This is a developing story and we will update it when and if new information becomes available.
