Phillips Industries‘ Electrical Harness Division was recently awarded a 2013 DTNA Masters of Quality Award. Representatives from Daimler Trucks North America presented the division with its third consecutive Masters of Quality Award during ceremonies held in October at the Saltillo, Mexico, facility.

According to DTNA, the Masters of Quality Award is presented annually to an elite group of suppliers who meet their rigorous standards and also show a commitment for continual improvement. Daimler’s suppliers are evaluated semi-annually on more than 100 criteria related to quality, service, aftermarket parts availability, engineering, warranty, and purchasing; and only those rated at the top are recognized with the award.

Rob Phillips, president of Phillips Industries, commended Filiberto Coello, director of international operations, and his entire team in Saltillo for their commitment to quality, saying “The Daimler recognition confirms our own observations, that the Saltillo plant continuously exceeds industry quality standards. Daimler demands the best and we’re proud that we have met their rigorous requirements over the past three years and expect to continue to do so. We couldn’t do that without a committed team in place.”

Phillips Industries supplies cab harnesses, trailer cables and other related products to DTNA.
