Comdata announces integration with TMW Systems

Comdata announces enhanced integration with ExpertFuel software

A new integration has been announced between Comdata and ExpertFuel fuel purchase optimization software from TMW Systems. The integration will make use of Comdata net fuel price files. to give fleets additional opportunities to reduce their fuel spending.

The ExpertFuel platform provides enhanced insight into fuel purchasing decisions by combining advanced optimization algorithms with trucking-specific routing technology and daily commercial diesel fuel pricing feeds. The new integration offers Comdata customers the opportunity to gain greater insight into their fuel spending activities.

By integrating with ExpertFuel, Comdata’s pricing file now becomes one of the most robust in the industry. While other fuel card providers use multiple sources to gather fuel pricing data, Comdata’s single pricing file–inclusive of all eligible discounts the company administers–streamlines the process and virtually eliminates the opportunity for error, the company said. The real-time capabilities of Comdata’s single price file, combined with ExpertFuel’s optimization capabilities, will now allow fleet card customers to view daily retail fuel price fluctuations for even greater visibility into fuel pricing, says Comdata.

“Comdata has long enjoyed our relationship with TMW Systems. This integration with ExpertFuel serves to strengthen our relationship with TMW and allows us to provide our mutual customers with increased transparency to fuel prices and enhanced controls over fuel purchases,” said Greg Secord, president of North American trucking for Comdata.

In addition, Comdata’s technology allows fleets to specify fuel networks at the individual card level, enabling expanded card control across the country.
