Work Truck Show: Significant truck powertrain updates

Cummins, International, Mack and Mitsubishi Fuso to unveil truck technology at Work Truck Show

The Work Truck Show 2016 takes place between March 1-4 in Indianapolis, and companies making announcements at the show include Mitubishi Fuso of America, Inc.; Cummins Inc.; Mack Trucks; and International Truck, the show reported. Kenworth Truck Co., Ford Commercial Vehicles, Ram Commercial and Knapheide Manufacturing Co. also have scheduled press briefings at the show. To date, more than 60 exhibiting companies have announced plans to introduce their latest truck equipment and technology at the event.

Specifically, Mitsubishi Fuso has said it will debut two prototypes of its FUSO E-Cell all-electric truck at the Work Truck Show, one of which will be available for test drives as part of The Work Truck Show Ride-and-Drive.

“This is the only show in North America where you can see all the latest vocational trucks, engines and equipment from every leading manufacturer while having the opportunity to meet with technical personnel from the OEMs and upfitters to discuss your fleet’s specific needs,” said Steve Carey, NTEA’s executive director. “Also unique to The Work Truck Show are the chassis update sessions that enable attendees to discover what 15 of the leading commercial vehicle OEMs are planning this year and beyond. At each session, an OEM’s representatives share technical information about their latest chassis specifications and designs, and review body and equipment installation options. They also provide insights into their future plans related to the work truck industry.”

The Work Truck Show 2016, produced by NTEA, the Association for the Work Truck Industry, will be held March 1–4 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Educational sessions and the Green Truck Summit begin March 1, and exhibits open March 2. The Work Truck Show Ride-and-Drive takes place March 2 and 3.
