Las Vegas played host to the 2018 Heavy-Duty Aftermarket week recently, and the show offered a bevy of press announcements. (Click here for all the news from HDAW 2018.) Here are some of the highlights.
Meritor announced a new product portfolio strategy with distinct aftermarket brands that includes multiple price points. The portfolio offers Mach brand parts in the Good category tier; Meritor, Euclid and Meritor Reman brands in the ‘Better’ Tier; and the Meritor Genuine brand in the Best tier
Haldex announced that its ModulT air disc brake is now offered by Hendrickson and touted its unique combination of low weight and high performance for a broad field of applications.
Dana enhanced the e-commerce, e-catalog website, DanaAftermarket.com, it launched at last year’s HDAW. The mobile-friendly website now features the ability to search for parts, check availability, review order status; and receive instant notifications of order status via confirmation emails and text message notifications, as well as FedEx and UPS tracking information, among other features.
Eaton enhanced it’s ServiceRanger 4 diagnostic and service tool to provide commercial service providers with a suite of solutions, allowing them to more quickly diagnose and repair problems on automated Eaton transmission products. It now offers two license options: Basic (read only) and Professional (full service).
Denso showed off improvements to its PowerEdge Diesel Aftertreatment Program, which expanded coverage for diesel particular filters (DPFs) and, coming this spring, full coverage for diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs).
