Taylor Dynamometer has redesigned its RS-40K Towing Dynamometer.
This towing dynamometer is designed for testing today’s DOT Vehicles (classes 5 and 6), including trucks and buses. The company says a recent customer testing requirement inspired a redesign of the RS-40K, which included a shorter overall configuration aided by a single axle design.
The company says RS-40K is built with a heavy-duty steel frame, industrial axle and rides on an air ride suspension. It is designed to maintain 40,000 Newtons of constant drawbar force with the ability to simulate an uphill slope of 25%, according to the company.
