Yokohama to launch three commercial tires at TMC

On display will be the all-position 504C and 115R, and the urban pick-up/delivery 714R.

Yokohama Tire will launch three new commercial truck tires at the upcoming TMC show in Atlanta, Georgia, Feb. 24-26.

On display will be the all-position 504C and 115R, and the urban pick-up/delivery 714R. Yokohama will also debut expanded sizes for the 715R open shoulder regional drive tire and the 114R regional haul ultra-wide-base trailer tire.

The 504C, which is manufactured in Yokohama’s plant in West Point, Mississippi, is described by the company as an aggressive all-position radial engineered with a sturdy undertread to handle the punishment of on-and-off-highway applications.

“Its improved retreadability and longer overall casing life make it the perfect performer for jobs that go beyond where the pavement ends,” said Tom Clauer, Yokohama’s senior manager of commercial and OTR product planning.

The 504C, which replaces the MY507, will be available in May in sizes 11R22.5 (H) and 11R24.5 (H).

The 714R features durable construction and outstanding fuel efficiency, Yokohama says.

The 714R will be available this summer in sizes 225/70R19.5 (14) and 245/70R19.5 (16).

Also debuting this summer is the 115R, an all-season/all-position tire that the company says is built to provide class 4 and 5 vehicles with superior year-round traction and dependability. Yokohama adds that the tire is engineered with a heat-resistant compound for better fuel efficiency and longer-lasting tread. It has an N speed rating (87 MPH) and the 115R will initially be available in a 225/70R19.5 (14).

New sizes for the 715R – Yokohama’s SmartWay verified open shoulder regional drive tire – are available now in 295/75R22.5, 285/75R24.5 and 11R24.5. The tire is currently available in 11R22.5.

The SmartWay Verified 114R UWB, which Yokohama says is a super fuel-efficient, long-lasting regional haul ultra-wide-base trailer tire, will be available this spring in a new size – 455/55R/22.5 – as well as the current 445/50R/22.5.
