The fleet management technology community has evolved to the point where it’s much like working with OEMs and hard-part equipment suppliers. There are specific data applications, custom built, to solve specific problems. Software solutions to help you boost equipment efficiency and productivity. And the biggest similarity to how you have always worked with your equipment providers–when you need help, you can ask for it, and talk to a real person.
Telematics and remote diagnostics solutions can seem like they keep you at arm’s length from developers, but the key to making a solution work for you is working with those providers. Sure, there are app-based truck management solutions on the Google Play and Apple App Store from developers you haven’t heard of, and they can be a good fit depending on what you need. But there are plenty of telematics developers who can work hand-in-hand with you to develop and build confidence in data-driven truck management solutions.
To get an understanding of this from the developer and solutions provider’s point-of-view, I connected with Noel Hopkins, head of customer success, Clear Object. Watch the video above for all of Noel’s insight.
