That’s the promise of Volvo Trucks North America’s Connected Vehicle Analytics dealer tool. The benchmarking feature anonymizes and aggregates truck operational data within duty cycles to compare you to the other trucks running those same applications in North America.
“We can have conversations about how the fleet’s trucks are running or how drivers are driving the trucks–that could highlight drivers that might need additional coaching. Or it could highlight an older software issue that needs to be updated. [Older software] could impact fuel efficiency,” Duane Tegels, product marketing manager, powertrain, Volvo Trucks North America explained when we caught up with him at this year’s TMC to talk through the Connected vehicle Analytics tool.
