Innovative Products of America (IPA) recently announced the introduction of its portable trailer ABS tester, dubbed the #4300A-L4 Super Ranger MUTT. This diagnostic tool with built-in LiFePO4 battery troubleshoots trailer ABS and lighting systems without a truck. The watertight enclosure with carry handle integrates a mounted trailer socket and internal storage for the trailer cable, battery charger and remote control.
“As the name implies, the Super Ranger MUTT is built for technicians who need full diagnostic capabilities while working offsite or in the field where shop and service-truck equipment may not be available,” says Ian Vinci, president of IPA. “It utilizes patent-pending ABS technology to identify poor cable and pin connections, signal strength, and quickly read ECU diagnostic codes and model information.”
The Super Ranger MUTT, according to the company, is microprocessor controlled and features state-of-the-art current sensing, computer-controlled circuit protection, live circuit monitoring with automatic fault alerts, as well as digital voltage and amperage draw readouts on an LCD screen.
