Alta eMobility expands Nikola dealership territory to Northern Illinois, Florida

Alta eMobility will be the exclusive provider of sales and service for Class 8 Nikola Tre battery-electric vehicle.

Alta eMobility, a provider of fleet electrification solutions, announced its expansion with Nikola Corporation into the Northern Illinois and Florida territories to provide customers in these two markets with electrified fleet and workplace charging solutions. The companies note that through this agreement, Alta eMobility will be the exclusive provider of sales and service for the now-available Class 8 Nikola Tre battery-electric (BEV) and the hydrogen electric vehicle, available later this year.

According to a recent press release, these two new locations will expand the company’s Nikola dealer network to 11 states nationally. The headquarters for these new territories are said to be located in Bolingbrook, Ill., and Tampa, Fla.

ABB E-mobility and MAN Truck & Bus recently celebrated the premiere of the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) in Germany. A MAN eTruck was charged with more than 700 kW and 1,000 amperes (A) at MAN's development center in Munich on March 21, using an MCS charging station from ABB E-mobility.

With this expansion, the PrePass Safety Alliance says fleets with the PrePass app now have 20 percent more bypass sites nationwide.
