Safeguarding fleet success through data security

A breach in security can cause some serious problems and the malware being used is getting even more sophisticated.

Just as you wouldn’t leave your home unlocked when you leave or not sign out of your email on a public device, passwords and information needed to access sensitive information is essential to keeping the lock on materials intended for only your view.

But even with the best passwords and most personalized logins, hackers and cyber criminals are still finding loopholes in the system to retrieve information that, if accessed by the wrong person, could damage your fleet’s finances, confidential client information or overall business success.

We hear about the horror stories where businesses are blackmailed or are scammed. The breach in security can cause some serious problems and the malware being used is getting even more sophisticated. It looks legit, secure and trustworthy, but it isn’t. How do you avoid it?

Can you provide information on the following topics: Is the data secured from end-to-end? What technologies are used to secure the data? Is your data center on premises? Do you own it or does another company host it? Who has access to the data? How soon will a potential security breach be reported? How will a security breach be handled? Who are you partnering with to ensure data privacy?

There is good news and bad news – just as there are criminals committed to scouring systems and finding faults in the protective measures, there are also security companies even more committed to keeping them out.

Digitized solutions are great for efficiency and automating processes that used to be tedious and time consuming, but they can act as a minefield of vulnerabilities and security risks. So how are software solution providers working to secure confidential information and what partnerships can be utilized to strengthen cyber defense?

Protecting your assets and valuable operation information is key to keeping your shop’s success locked down.
