Westport awarded additional production supply agreement for Euro 7 LPG fuel systems

Westport Fuel Systems chosen as LPG systems supplier for global OEM, Euro 7 platforms included.

Westport Fuel Systems, a supplier of alternative fuel systems and components, announced it has been designated as the supplier of liquifiy petroleum gas (LPG) systems to a global original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

This is in addition to the previously announced production supply agreement, adding new Euro 7 vehicle platforms planned for production by the OEM, which the company did not identify. The company forecasts that this will generate €63 million in total revenue from 2025 to 2028. This increases the revenue generated from LPG fuel system supply agreements for Euro 6 and 7 programs with this OEM to approximately €255 million, Westport says.

According to the press release, Westport will be supplying its LPG system solutions for this OEM’s Euro 6 vehicle applications starting in Q4 of this year.

West Virginia Spring & Radiator is now a Vipar Heavy Duty distributor, the companies announced.

The company, based in Nitro, W.V., has been in business for more than 30 years.

Vipar says West Virginia Spring & Radiator’s growth has been steady and strategic. It started as a radiator specialist, added suspensions, took on full-line parts distribution, became a service provider and body shop, and now rebuilds gear boxes and transmissions, manufactures drivelines, resurfaces flywheels and fabricates hydraulic hoses. In 2019, the company opened a second, parts-only location in White Sulphur Springs, W.V., and according to Vipar, is in the process of opening a third.
