This program is designed to equip technicians with the knowledge and experience to understanding of refrigeration systems.

Amerit Fleet Solutions recently introduced the “Reefer Tech Academy,” a curriculum focused on technician training. The program, according to the company, focuses on environmental compliance, refrigerants management, leak detection, and other repairs and maintenance of refrigerated trailer technology.

This program is designed to equip technicians with the necessary knowledge and hands-on experience to understanding the complex world of refrigeration systems, the press release notes. This curriculum blends theoretical concepts with practical application. By the end of this program, the company says that participants will understand the components of a refrigeration unit as well as the environmental roles and responsibilities attributed to the position.

Program highlights noted by Amerit

  1. Comprehensive curriculum: The Reefer Tech Academy offers a curriculum covering essential topics and places a emphasis on EPA regulations 608 and 609, enabling technicians to navigate these requirements with confidence. This course is for technicians who are pursuing either an EPA 608 or 609 certification or who otherwise plan to work as a technician on refrigeration units.
  2. Hands-On training: The Reefer Tech Academy is designed for technicians with at least one year’s experience. This academy will help techs become well-versed in environmental compliance, including handling refrigerants, leak detection, and proper disposal procedures.
  3. Expert instructors: The program is led by Amerit professionals with extensive experience in refrigeration technology.
