New Volvo Blue Service Contract offers connectivity and preventative maintenance options to improve fleet efficiency, uptime

Volvo Trucks North America has introduced the Volvo Blue Service Contract to its customers across North America. This dealer-managed service plan is designed to offer comprehensive preventative maintenance services, incorporating enhanced connectivity for optimal vehicle performance and efficiency. The announcement was made at the ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council’s (TMC) 2023 Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition in Orlando, Florida.

The Volvo Blue Service Contract aims to support vehicles’ operational efficiency through a data-driven maintenance approach. Local dealerships, equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and systems, will monitor vehicle health and performance round-the-clock. This approach allows for maintenance to be scheduled based on real-time data, tailoring services to the specific needs and usage of each truck, with the goal of avoiding unplanned downtime.

All maintenance under the Volvo Blue Service Contract will be carried out by Volvo certified technicians using genuine or authorized Volvo parts. The contract covers all software and recall updates in real-time, ensuring vehicles remain up-to-date with the latest enhancements and fixes. The plan includes a thorough maintenance routine, featuring a 74-point inspection to preemptively address potential issues and minimize unexpected service interruptions.

Additionally, the service contract provides access to Volvo’s Remote Diagnostics and Remote Programming services, allowing for proactive maintenance planning and software updates, aimed at improving fleet uptime and efficiency.

The Volvo Blue Service Contract offers fixed service fees for durations ranging from 12 to 60 months, with various billing options available to customers. Over 400 certified Volvo Trucks dealerships and thousands of service locations across North America are prepared to offer this full-service coverage, aiming to facilitate better planning and service provision to their customers.
