Apollo begins deliveries of long haul trailer tire

The EnduMile LHT includes a ‘free-rolling’ tread pattern, designed specifically for trailer axles.

Apollo Tyres has commenced deliveries of its long-haul trailer tire, the EnduMile LHT.

According to the tire maker, features and benefits of the EnduMile LHT include: an A rating for rolling resistance; a ‘free-rolling’ tread pattern, designed specifically for trailer axles, that incorporates a compact centre rib to assist roadholding and ensure efficient operation; a compound that helps to manage temperature changes during prolonged use; and a blend of polymers and fillers minimize rolling resistance while delivering consistent levels of grip on wet surfaces. The tires are manufactured in Hungary.

“Our R&D team has worked tirelessly to develop a tire that has extremely low levels of rolling resistance while supporting vehicle range, driving performance and long-term durability – three key areas for the long-haul market,” said John Nikhil Joy, cluster director Europe – truck and bus tyres at Apollo Tyres.
