According to the company, on one of the hottest days of the year in many parts of the U.S., Carrier Transicold celebrated the 110th anniversary of the invention of modern air conditioning by the company’s founder, Willis H. Carrier.
To celebrate the July 17 milestone, the company launched a special website, www.williscarrier.com, dedicated to its history. On the site are vignettes about Willis Carrier’s life and work, along with milestones for Carrier Transicold trailer and container products. Carrier also released a book, “Weathermakers to the World,” which chronicles the entrepreneurial spirit of Willis Carrier and the history of air conditioning.
