Denso touts new, expanded heavy-duty truck product lines

Denso Products and Services Americas Inc., an affiliate of global automotive supplier Denso Corp., is showcasing its new and expanded lines of heavy-duty and medium-duty starters, alternators, compressors, spark plugs and diesel aftertreatment products at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW).

Denso’s newest products include heavy-duty and medium-duty starters and alternators for the heavy duty and commercial vehicle segments; its latest series of PowerEdge starters and alternators; more diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs) covering almost the entire Class 8 truck market; and new spark plugs and rubber boot kits for heavy-duty natural gas engines.

Denso products spotlighted at HDAW 2020 included, as detailed by the company:

Denso heavy-duty and medium-duty starters and alternators: DENSO’s First Time Fit starters and alternators provide wide coverage for Class 8 and medium-duty trucks, fleets, school buses, package-delivery vehicles, and construction, agricultural and industrial equipment.

Denso spark plugs for natural gas engines: Denso has added two new part numbers to expand its product line of spark plugs and rubber boot kits for heavy-duty on-road and off-road vehicles that run on natural gas.

PowerEdge diesel aftertreatment parts: Denso now offers one of the widest offerings of DPF and DOC part numbers to keep heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks and buses running smoothly, efficiently and cleanly.

Denso heavy-duty and medium-duty A/C compressors: Aftermarket coverage now includes trucks, buses and other vehicles manufactured by Daimler Trucks North America, in addition to Hino, John Deere and Sprinter models. Commercial applications also include agricultural machinery and construction equipment.

PowerEdge (PE) heavy-duty starters and alternators: DENSO will showcase its 39PE and 42PE starters, as well as its 24PE 12-volt 170-amp alternators in pad mount and J180 mount types. The units cover nearly all Class 8 trucks on the road today.
