The HTP MIG 2400 welder, its maker said, is the only welder in its class to have a cast aluminum four-roller gear drive system. This welder provides a smooth wire feed with any thickness of wire, including .045 and can handle up to 30-lb. spools of wire. The MIG 2400 wire feed system also delivers a solid, even wire feed with longer welding guns as well.
The MIG 2400 welds steel from thin sheet metal to 0.5 in. thick, and is suitable for projects ranging from performing light fabrication to building a heavy duty frame with its 240 amps of power and 24 heat settings.
It has the ability to digitally display either the welding amperage or the welding voltage, which lets you precisely adjust your welder for any job. There’s also a wire feed accelerator for smooth starting and a burnback timer to set wire stickout. An additional benefit offered by the MIG 2400 is the ability to reverse polarity without using tools, the manufacturer said, making it easy to weld with flux cored wire. A 25- or 50-ft. long spool gun is also available for this machine.
