Tenneco Inc.’s Monroe Dynamics disc brake pads now cover an even broader array of trucks, vans and utility vehicles, including trucks equipped with the latest pneumatic disc brake systems, like Workhorse, Knorr Bremse, Meritor Wabco and more, the manufacturer said.
Each Monroe Dynamics semi-metallic brake pad features an application-specific friction material developed and tested to meet the vehicle’s unique operating requirements. In addition, these friction materials are secured to the backing plate with an OE constant-pressure manufacturing process called positive molding to provide a better bond and denser friction material, resulting in less resin versus conventional flash-molded products, the maker added. This, in turn, reduces pedal fade and helps ensure better stopping performance, the company noted. For more information, visit www.MonroeBrakes.com.
