New Parker 836 Push-Lok Plus hose features increased working pressures for more applications

Parker Hannifin has introduced its new 836 Push-Lok Plus multipurpose, heat-resistant, high temperature hose with increased working pressures. This newest addition to the Push-Lok Plus line is versatile enough for use in multiple applications, including diesel fuel, its maker said.

Parker has also expanded the 836 Plus line offering with a new -12 size (3/4-in. ID), giving it the broadest size range in the industry. The 836 Plus line is approved with both HY Series crimp fittings and 82 Series field-attachable fittings.

With increased working pressures and crimp fitting approval, the 836 Plus line can be used in many low-pressure media applications including diesel fuel. The 836 Plus hose line is compatible with the widest range of fittings in the industry.

"Parker’s new 836 Push-Lok Plus hose is temperature rated up to 212 degrees F for air, 185 degrees F for water applications and carries the highest possible rating for diesel fuel and oil," notes Greg Reardon, Business Development Manager of Parker’s Hose Products Division. "This, in combination with the increased working pressure and crimp fitting approval, makes 836 hose more versatile than ever as it reduces the number of different style general-purpose hoses needed to satisfy a variety of applications."

The working pressures are as follows:

836 Plus Hose ID Working Pressure
836-4 1/4 in. 400 PSI
836-6 3/8 in. 400 PSI
836-8 1/2 in. 400 PSI
836-10 5/8 in. 350 PSI
836-12 3/4 in. 300 PSI

Typical applications for 836 Plus hose include automotive assembly plants, power steering return lines, high temperature case drains, lubricating oils and diesel fuel lines.
