Omnitracs appointed Dan Speicher as chief technology officer. The company noted that Speicher holds more than 25 years of experience in managing information systems and leading infrastructure development and integration through mergers and acquisitions. Speicher will be responsible for providing a consolidated product vision and development strategy across all Omnitracs business units.
Speicher comes to Omnitracs from Hughes Telematics (HTI). Following Verizon’s purchase of HTI, he led the organization’s corporate integration initiatives. Previously, he spent 20 years with InfoGroup. He also served in the United States Air Force, where he flew on airborne intelligence collection missions during the Cold War and was an instructor and curriculum developer for airborne intelligence collection courses.
