Optronics introduces MCL Series marker, clearance lights

The lamps employ a solid-state, surface-mount device (SMD) design that protects their electronics against moisture, shock and vibration.

Optronics International has released a new line of MCL2300, MCL20, and MCL16T marker/clearance lights, which are available now.

The three-diode MCL2300 lamp is offered as a rectangular design measuring 2.31 inches wide, 1.43 inches tall and 0.64 inches thick. The three-diode MCL20 is an oval marker/clearance light measuring 1.875-inches wide, 1.5 inches tall and 0.5 inches thick. The single-diode MCL16T is a 1.25 inch diameter round light with a 1.31-inch profile, and stands out with its unique fluted lens pattern. All three lamps come hard-wired and are available in bulk and polypack packaging, the company notes.

The PC-rated lamps can be used as combination side marker and front or rear clearance lights when mounted on an angle. The unique geometric optics spread light for brightness.

The lamp’s lenses are made of polycarbonate material that is sonically welded and resistant to dust and moisture, the company says. The lamps employ a solid-state, surface-mount device (SMD) design that protects their electronics against moisture, shock and vibration, Optronics adds.

According to Michael Whitman, director of production management at Optronics, the products in this series fit into the 3/4-inch cutout hole, the industry’s standard, despite the different shapes.

These lamps come with a lifetime warranty protection that will replace a lamp if even one diode fails, according to Optronics.
