Petro-Canada launches EV lubricants line

EVR fluids and greases provide OEMs with improved material compatibility, efficient power transfer and improved equipment performance.

Petro-Canada Lubricants has launched a new line of lubricants designed specifically for electric vehicles (EV) – Petro-Canada Lubricants EVR. This includes the new product brands: EVR Driveline, EVR Thermal Management and EVR Motor Greases.

According to the company, EVR fluids and greases provide improved material compatibility, efficient power transfer and improved equipment performance to enable the development of advanced driveline, axle and battery technologies for use across a range of sectors including automotive, heavy- and medium-duty transportation.

Petro-Canada Lubricants is also a member of the Southwest Research Institute’s Advanced Fluids for Electric Vehicles (AFEV) Consortium, which is working to advance the automotive industry’s understanding of the unique stressors placed on EV and hybrid vehicle fluids to enable development and optimization of EV fluids and progress EV powertrain design.
