Prestolite Electric has expanded its portfolio of starters with the introduction of Leece-Neville M93 and M97 24V 6kW starters, which the company says are designed to provide power for a variety of medium-duty and heavy-duty applications, as well as off-highway vehicles and buses.
Prestolite says features and benefits of the new starters include:
- 10- and 12-tooth models
- Clockwise rotation
- SAE J542 Type 1
- Integral Magnetic Switch (IMS) helps eliminate voltage drop issues by minimizing wiring between the relay and solenoid
- Electrical soft start helps eliminate ring gear damage
- In-line, gear reduced for more power in a small package
- Case ground (M93)
- All new, no core
