Sloan Transportation Products offers a line of Michelin branded wiper blades that provide distributors with a competitively priced, premium manufactured item and fleets with a product designed for ease of installation. The Michelin heavy-duty blade is designed with quality components that stand up to the rigors of heat, rain, and snow, unlike other brands that use inferior materials, like plastic, to lower the cost.

The Michelin blade component difference starts with metal rivets to provide a stronger connection, instead of a crimp that is susceptible to failure. A standard graphite coating over the rubber blade reduces friction and extends the blade life compared to uncoated competitor blades.

The Michelin blade is manufactured using heavy-duty 304 stainless steel. The high nickel content of 304 stainless steel provides added strength and resistance against rust and corrosion. Additionally, the Michelin blade has a multi-arm connector that fits 90 percent of vehicles on the market, ensuring a quick blade change with little downtime. Reduced inventory is achieved, due to the small number of SKUs in the program.

“With all the advancements in the Michelin blade you would think this premium product would sell at a high price point,” said Douglas S. Thomson, vice president, sales and marketing, Sloan Transportation Products. “We have put together a program with a simplified ordering process that ensures fast delivery. This benefits both distributors and fleets.”

Designed with the needs of fleet managers in mind, Sloan offers a bulk blade program for its Michelin branded wiper blades that a re polybagged in bulk cartons of 10 for ease of use. Sloan also offers a blister pack POS display for retail and over-the-counter sales.
