Trail King acquires trailer manufacturer

Trail King acquires AG trailer manufacturer

Trail King Industries has acquired Dakota Trailer Manufacturing, a manufacturer of aluminum grain trailers for the agricultural market.

“Our sights are set on continuing to exceed dealers’ and customers’ expectations by providing new solutions that complement Trail King’s current offerings,” said Bruce Yakley, president and chief executive officer of Trail King.

Trail King made this acquisition as part of the company’s long-term strategic growth plan, it said. The acquisition sets the stage to expand and complement Trail King’s agricultural product line, which will now include aluminum grain trailers, ranging in sizes from 21- to 51-ft. By adding this product line, Trail King not only strengthens its existing agricultural offerings, but also reinforces its commitment to fully serve its dealer and customer base, it said.

“Trail King’s proven success, widely-recognized brand value and expansive dealer and customer reach makes it an exemplary home for Dakota Trailer with boundless possibilities for the future,” said Brian Strahl, president and owner of Dakota Trailer.
