Mitchell 1 awards SuperTech Grand Champion with TruckSeries subscription

Mitchell 1 has awarded Phillip Pinter from FedEx Freight in Ida, Mich., the Grand Champion of the National Technician Skills Competition — TMC SuperTech 2018 — with a subscription to TruckSeries that will allow him to access all of Mitchell 1’s online service information products for Class 4-8 trucks for a full year. The event was part of the American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council conference held September 16-20 in Orlando, FL.

TruckSeries, Mitchell 1’s suite of complete software solutions for the trucking industry, provides integrated access to labor estimating, diagnostic trouble code procedures and repair information for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles in a single application. TruckSeries is used for testing at the Service Information station each year at SuperTech.

Kristy LaPage, business manager for Mitchell 1’s commercial vehicle group commented that “Being crowned the grand champion at TMC’s National Skills Competition is a significant achievement for any technician working in our industry. Mitchell 1 congratulates Phillip on his success this year. The TruckSeries software will give him and his fellow technicians at FedEx in Michigan access to online repair information and tools to enhance repair efficiency on any brand of truck they operate and service.”

Mitchell 1 has been a sponsor of the SuperTech national competitions since their inception 13 years ago. Each year Mitchell 1 has run the Service Information skills station, testing competitors on their ability to use computers and web-based programs to diagnose and fix vehicles properly. In addition to involvement at the national level, Mitchell 1 also supports and participates in many state technician skills competitions.
