Kenworth adds video, quick reference guide for over-the-air updates

The Kenworth TruckTech+ Over-The-Air Updates program has introduced video and added a quick reference guide.

The updates are for Class 8 Kenworth trucks equipped with a 2017 or newer model year PACCAR MX-13 or PACCAR MX-11 engine.

To initiate updates, Kenworth customers must use the PACCAR Over-The-Air mobile app available for download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Customers with active Kenworth TruckTech+ subscriptions can then view these updates using the PACCAR Over-The-Air app or the PACCAR Solutions online portal.

Once the user approves the update, the system notifies the user when the download is ready for installation.

When the truck is parked, a five-second press of the cruise control set switch connects the truck to the secure PACCAR cloud server. The software update is initiated through the PACCAR mobile app, which offers monitoring of the download and informs the user of its completion.

The two-page, quick reference guide provides step-by-step instructions for Kenworth TruckTech+ Over-the-Air. The guide is available on the Kenworth website.
