Equipment warranties play a big role in your truck service operation’s profitability. No fleet is a stranger to the warranty claim process, and the headaches that come along with it. But, with all the service data streaming off of your trucks, you have a host of information to help push your claim through.

When you go searching for the right data to support your claim, there are often gaps. Sure you might have the service issue and the proposed fix, but do you have the cause of the service need? That could play a crucial role in a warranty claim’s success. Even seemingly simple data like VINs and fault data can be plagued with incomplete data that could have been avoided by automatically capturing the data.

Season 1 of Data Center saw “Shop Jason,” mild-mannered shop manager, working with “Data Jason” a truck data-infused android who taught Shop Jason how to use data more productively. Over the course of the season, the two Jasons had many truck data adventures, which culminated in Data Jason leaving the corporeal and integrating his consciousness with the shop’s truck service artificial intelligence to provide deeper service insights.
