MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers recently announced a new committee to further advance heavy-duty e-commerce. The Heavy Duty eCommerce Committee (HDeC) is a new forum within the association’s Business Technology Council (BTC).

The purpose of the HDeC is to advance the heavy-duty aftermarket by advocating; educating; and sharing ideas, industry best practices and data standards to drive e-commerce and overall business, and as noted in a recent press release. Its mission aligns with the membership and objectives of the BTC, providing content and resources to heavy duty suppliers.

Pricedex Software will chair the new committee. According to the committee, its structure provides seats for BTC executive committee members, BTC supplier members, a BTC affiliate member and non-voting individuals from industry organizations and, according to the company, HDeC will meet, present and engage in roundtable discussions during many of the industry’s key events.
