Stuart demands:
As winter weather approaches make sure you know when to stop using additives and start blending with ultra low sulfur kerosene in the diesel fuel. Watch the thermometer and listen to current and predicted weather forecasts. Make sure you blend before the temperature dips below 10 degrees F. Don’t wait until it dips below 0 degrees F to avoid gelling. Forecast ahead and I strongly suggest you meet with your fuel supplier to determine exactly what “Winter Blend” actually means. You may be surprised, if so, let it be before a crisis happens. Blend percentages should increase as the temperature decreases.
