Col-Met Spray Booths announced its COL-MET VS Waterborne Flash-Off System controlled by twin variable-frequency drives that the company said allow for more consistent and accurate airflow when switching between spray and flash-off cycles.

According to the company, the unit also features a control panel with adjustable timer for waterborne flash-off settings as required by paint suppliers, as well as a simple switch to change over from spray to flash-off. This system is standard with the Col-Met Evolution Series 1 spray booth and high-capacity industrial heated air movement unit, the maker noted.

Advantages of Carrier Transicold’s new Vector 8500 single-temperature hybrid trailer refrigeration unit include less weight, better capacity and improved fuel efficiency, according to the company. With the Vector 8500, Carrier is also introducing a fully hermetic electric scroll compressor, used in refrigerated marine container systems, that has 70 percent fewer moving parts and is 200 lbs lighter than a traditional reciprocating compressor.
