Evans Cooling Systems opened its newest conversion center, T&E Service Co., located at 4980 Stillwell St., Kansas City, Mo. T&E is a full service facility for tires, general truck repair, and now a conversion center for Evans waterless coolants in heavy-duty trucks.
Chris Gordon, service manager at T&E, has already received numerous inquiries from owner operators throughout the country. "Our staff is well trained and eager to convert more trucks with the waterless technology," he said. "With the maintenance and fuel saving benefits, Evans can help lower the cost of ownership significantly. We’re glad we can help make it happen." For more information about T&E, call 816-920-7410.
Evans said its waterless coolant allows a diesel engine to safely operate at slightly elevated temperatures, taking advantage of the huge separation between the operating temperature and the high boiling point of the coolant. The result is better efficiency and reduced fan-on time.
"As fuel costs continue to rise, the demand for Evans waterless coolant is increasing," said Mike Tourville, of Evans. "With documented fuel savings between 3% and 8%, truck owners and fleets are recognizing the value of the fuel saving strategies that Evans offers."
