Flying J Enterprise Solutions said it released its new Cab Comfort System (CCS), a fully integrated high-end auxiliary power unit, to help truck fleets reduce engine idling and unnecessary emissions while providing the driver in-cab comfort and convenience while on the road.
The CCS is available from Flying J and affiliate locations. The standard system features the Kubota Z482 liquid-cooled engine that powers a direct drive 6kW 115VAC generator, the company said. Included are in-cab and outside GFCI receptacles, electrically powered battery charging, programmable in-cab controller with maintenance reminders, automatic start control in economy mode for cab temperature, battery voltage and coolant temperature for more fuel savings.
Additional optional equipment includes high-output air conditioning, keyless remote start, high output battery charger and shore power load management, the company said.
“As you set the fully programmable in-cab illuminated keypad control, you will notice immediate comfort and convenience from low operating noise and no cab vibration with full use of in-cab and out-of-cab appliances and tools,” says Bruce Davis, market development director for Flying J Enterprise Solutions.
