Telematics company Geotab has announced the acquisition of Strategic Telecom Solutions (STS), customer service provider with more than 65,000 subscribers. The acquisition enables Geotab hopes the acquisition will enable them to improve their customer service offerings and target the small-to-mid-size fleet market.
“After three-and-a-half years of partnering with STS, it was clear they were such an ideal match for Geotab that it was time to make the relationship permanent,” said Geotab Chief Executive Officer Neil Cawse. “This acquisition not only benefits the existing customers of both companies, but also the hundreds of thousands more we expect to add over the next two years, by providing them with the world’s broadest, deepest and most innovative portfolio of telematics solutions.”
Joey Marlow, chief executive officer of Strategic Telecom Solutions, shares a similar viewpoint.
“From a business standpoint, it’s a perfect partnership,” Marlow said. “We have built a great foundation for scalable support services, so we are going to be a dominant force in the industry. This is a very exciting time for us and we cannot wait to see what the future holds.”
