Hendrickson completes Composilite SC Series of lift axles

Hendrickson's Composilite SCT line offers a full range of capacities including 10,000, 13,500 and 20,000 lbs. to meet the industry's demanding requirements, according to the company.

Hendrickson’s Auxiliary Axle Division has completed its Composilite SCT line, first launched in 2010. The line now offers a full range of capacities including 10,000, 13,500 and 20,000 lbs. to meet the industry’s demanding requirements, the company said.

The Composilite SC represents Hendrickson’s “Steerable Compliant” series of lift axles. The SCT13 Series truck mount suspension reduces system weight up to 69 lbs. per axle and provides a minimized package space of 22.1 in. This product also introduces Hendrickson’s patent pending compliant tie rod (CTR) with “PerfecTrak” Technology, the first flexible tie-rod assembly and dampening system, according to the maker.  This technology was designed to lower maintenance costs and increase uptime by providing a resilient impact resistant tie-rod assembly.

In addition, the CTR system provides a robust self-centering mechanism and improved “driver feel” through the industry’s first ever “passive steer Ackermann.” The development of the SC series further improves product performance and durability while offering owner-operators increased payload and reduced maintenance, Hendrickson said.
