Hendrickson recently announced Roadmaax Z, which the company says its lightest weight 46,000 lb.-capacity rear air suspension. Hendrickson says its Roadmaax Z system is the first drive axle suspension to come with its patented Zero Maintenance Damping (ZMD) ride technology, which the company claims eliminates conventional shock absorbers and integrates damping into the air springs, reducing lifetime downtime and maintenance costs.
Hendrickson says the Roadmaax Z was designed as a top-mount, trailing arm air suspension to provide a smooth ride whether the trailer is empty, partially loaded or at capacity. The company adds that ZMD air springs are designed to provide continuous damping over the life of the air spring.
Roadmaax Z is approved for use with lift axles and up to 25% off-highway operation, according to Hendrickson, and the company adds that Roadmaax Z offers scalability with rated capacities of 23,000 lbs., 46,000 lbs. and 69,000 lbs.
