ChargePoint to provide EV charging infrastructure, training for Isuzu electric trucks

Isuzu announced in March that it will introduce the 2025 NRR EV, a Class 5 battery electric truck, in early 2024.

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America announced that it has appointed ChargePoint as an official source to provide EV charging infrastructure and software solutions, as well as training to Isuzu dealers and customers. Isuzu announced in March that it will introduce the 2025 NRR EV, a Class 5 battery electric truck, in early 2024.

Shaun C. Skinner, the president of Isuzu Commercial Truck of America and Isuzu Commercial Truck of Canada, says that the collaboration with ChargePoint will help dealers and customers prepare in advance for the launch of their electric truck next year.

According to the press release, Isuzu dealers will need to access a ChargePoint website portal using the dealer’s own secure credentials. ChargePoint or one of its channel partners will then work with the dealer and/or customer directly to develop a customized electrification solution and identify available incentives from state and local agencies and utilities. ChargePoint or one of its channel partners will be able to manage all aspects of the project, from needs assessment through equipment purchase and installation and charging training, the companies said.
