Kaeser Compressors announced its Kaeser Modular Membrane Dryer (KMM), which the company said is as a way to help stop moisture from damaging tools. The KMM can produce dew points from +40 degrees F to -40 degrees F.
According to the manufacturer, the low-maintenance dryers feature a bundle of tube-shaped membranes that allow only water vapor to pass. At the discharge end, a small amount of dry compressed air sweeps the water vapor out of the dryer.
KMMs work well in many applications, Kaeser said, and do not need to be oversized for peak flow conditions. Modular connections mate the KMM with pre-filters and after-filters for a quick, clean and easy installation, the maker added. The optional purge saver prevents the loss of valuable compressed air and extends the life of membrane bundle, according to Kaeser.
