Merchants Fleet to offer Chevy Silverado EV for lease and rental

Merchants Fleet says it will offer potential clients help with electrification, consulting, and charging infrastructure.

Merchants Fleet announced that it is adding 250 new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV work trucks to its EV lease and rental roster.

The Silverado EV is built on General Motors’ EV Ultium platform, offers an EPA-estimated range of up to 450 miles, and can pull up to 10,000 lbs. and carry a payload of over 1,400 lbs.

Merchants Fleet says that its electrification and consulting team will help potential clients with total cost optimization, charging infrastructure, and assist with getting available grants, incentives, and tax rebates for the Silverado EV and other zero emissions vehicles in their lineup.

Merchants Fleet’s ClearCharge program also helps implement and manage the charging infrastructure that works best for your company, the company said. Commercial operations can choose between Level 2 chargers, which take about 5 hours to fill an EV battery; and Level 3 chargers (sometimes called “superchargers”), which can get the job done in less than an hour.
