Ben Johnson, director of product management for Mitchell 1 has been invited to participate in a panel discussion during Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW): Paving the Way: How the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Can Profit from Telematics and Predictive Maintenance. The session is scheduled for Tuesday, January 25 at 9 a.m. central time in Texas Ballroom A&B, at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center.
The discussion will be moderated by Jason Morgan, content director, Fleet Equipment magazine and will explore how heavy-duty parts suppliers, distributors, and service providers can maximize the benefits of telematics technology and predictive maintenance for their businesses and customers.
“I’m pleased to have been asked to participate in this panel discussing emerging technologies and how they impact the aftermarket segment,” Johnson said. “At Mitchell 1 we have data services available supporting telematics and analytics which allow fleets to make more informed decisions about services required for their vehicles. These services, combined with real-time telematics can help ensure vehicles meet their delivery obligations and help repair facilities effectively service all vehicles including those equipped with new these new technologies. I’m looking forward to hearing the views of other panel members on this topic.”
Johnson is active in the automotive and commercial vehicle communities and is a frequent presenter at industry events on the topic of ADAS and emerging automotive technologies. At Mitchell 1, he has overseen the launch of Mitchell 1’s TruckSeries, the only comprehensive repair information suite of its kind available for Class 4-8 trucks, ProDemand automotive repair information product, SureTrack expert-based diagnostic information, and expansion of Manager SE and Manager SE Truck Edition, the industry’s leading shop management system.
